Crowd
People in crowds sometimes act in a way they would not if they were alone. For example, you are at a football game when some people in the crowd stand up and wave their arms in the air. Another group of people does the same thing. Or imagine this. You are walking along the street on your way to work or school when you see a crowd gathered on the corner. Although you are in a hurry, you go toward it. You discover that the crowd is watching a man selling a wide assortment of gold and silver watches that many people are lining up to buy.
I have experienced some examples of crowd behavior. First, I went to watch an NBA game with my family. I saw when a player scored, all basketball fans screamed and acclaimed in the court. Second, in my country my high school, there was hold a school concert and invitation famous singers or teams. When their favorite singers sing song they would scream, put their hands up wave their arms. Third, I watched the news about Taiwan’s news. There was an independence day. I saw many orchestras and many people acclaim.
In conclusion, I think people in a crowd might act differently in some situations. During a football game, everyone follows the roved and hands up make wave, and in panic, it makes people be afraid about how to protect themselves from dangerous situations. Therefore, I think the crowd might make people act differently.

Contrast
Contrast#1 Thorne (1993) found a number of differences in the way boys and girls interact with their same-sex friends. First, girls engage in more cooperative kinds of play, for example, jumping rope or practicing dance steps together. Girls also tend to say "Let's..." or "why don't we..." to generate this play. Second, girls like to spend time with only one or two best friends. Third, when there is conflict among friends, girls talk about the undesirable behavior of playmates behind their backs rather than to their faces. As a result, a conflict between girls can take a long time to be resolved. On the other hand, boys engage in competitive rough and- tumble play and physical fighting. Boys also like to appear tough by making verbal threats (for example, "I'm gonna punch you"). These kinds of threats are sometimes made in anger but they are also made in the spirit of play. Second, boys tand more to hang around with larger group of casual friends. Third, when there is conflict among friends, boys are more direct and confrontational, so their conflicts are often over quite quickly.
Contrast#2 There are many differences in the way teenage boys and girls socialize in Taiwan. This means in my country boys and girls are treated differently at home, school, and by peers. For example, at home parents call boys to take out the garbage or move heavy things. On the other hand, girls wash the dishes or cook dinner. Second, in the school of activity, if it is basketball class, the teacher likes boys more than girls and boys must like playing basketball. So teachers are treating boys and girls differently. However in culinary class it is different for girls because girls can do better than boys. Therefore, I think these examples are fair because the girls’ strength is relatively small, they can’t move heavy things. The boys’ strength is relatively larger than girls so they can do it.
Contrast#3 There are some differences between my classmates’ education background and goals. Steve wants to study Environmental science because he is interested in Environmental science and Luis wants to study social science because he likes social science and it gives him huge knowledge of socialization. Steven’s main goal when he gets to college is he wants to do well his classes and graduate successfully. Luis’s main goal when he gets to college is to convince everyone to agree with his view. Steve and Luis will both continue their schoolwork after get their associate degree.

Hurricane Sandy
Dear:
Kevin Lin
Hello Kevin. We hadn’t seemed three years. I miss you very much. I want to tell you news. In New York, there was a Hurricane called Sandy. It was very strong. In New York many trees knocked down, stopped the internet and flooded the streets. Manhattan is also serious. In Manhattan, there was a power failure around and a large swath of Manhattan in the rain was soaked including cars, houses, parks, and the subway. I watched a report on internet and it said this Hurricane may become the most intense storm in the history of storms to hit the U.S. mainland. It threated of up to 65 million people and affected New York’s economy. On the other hands, I watched news and I saw somewhere had fire. There were many houses gone from a calamity and somewhere was flooded. Many rescues the personnel would save them. My neighborhood was fine because there wasn’t serious and flood. If you worry me, I can tell you that I’m fine with my families. I hope you can keep in touch with me on internet or cell phone.
Your best friend,
Ting, Liang Yuan
